Description

This is a very difficult region for RGB imaging due to the number, and brightness of all the stars in this region.  I spent several days trying to process this but with  so many stars I kept getting horribly bloated stars.  Colors were faded due to high clouds that reduced my SQM readings by one full unit from normal and bleached most of the color out of the subs.

Finally I decided to use STARNET++ to remove the stars and it worked shockingly well.  Without the stars in the image I was able to restore most of the color.  The star at the top of  the Christmas tree was muted to avoid some micro-lens artifacts.

The Cone Nebula shows nicely at about 4 O'clock from the tree.
